Founder of Butterfly House is a passionate environmentalist and that’s why the inn follows strict routines in favor of nature. “During construction, every precaution was taken not to affect the local environment and nothing was harmed in any way. Garbage is recycled and the inn’s sewage system is designed to produce an environmentally friendly biofertilizer. Thanks to smart architecture and incredible attention to detail, the lodge is carved out of nature and blends in with the forest. Thatched grass roofs, treated Colombian bamboo, salvaged demolition wood and recycled materials form the foundations of the Butterfly House. And just as the exteriors reflect the surrounding woods, the interiors are a blend of bohemian warmth and comfort. The creator of Butterfly House, has Bahia as her home for the last ten years and created here a dreamy combination of rustic and Brazilian simplicity, with French touches and Moroccan pieces, all inspired by her travels.
